JBLM Kids’ Fest 2026

Every year for MANY years the WKA has hosted a kids kitemaking table at the Fest. Started by the late Jerry Graham (WKA member and officer), he and Carl Williamson and volunteers showed kids how to put together a sled kite. Over time the table coordination was transferred to Rick White and now Rick and Bonnie Ecker coordinate the table. 
Funny thing, it started with about 250 kites being made by the kids. Today, the lines have become so long that we have to pre-assemble 700 kites to simply hand out.
The event has been extremely popular for the military kids and it’s so fun to watch them fly their kites.

Location is outside the JBLM Festival Tent.

If you don’t have military ID, you will need to get a Visitors Pass at the Visitor Center, Main Gate.
