If you're not doing anything for 4th of July, join the Whidbey Island Kite Fliers at Fort Casey State Park. A Discover Pass is required to use this park. Hang out, fly your kites, get assistance for flying.

Team Tethered Imagination (formerly “Haynes Family Kite Flyers”) is heading to Ocean Shores with their Sky Aquarium kites. WHEN & WHERE: Ocean Shores, WA, Saturday July 18, 2026. Join us on the beach around 9:00 a.m. Current plans are to setup just north of the Damon Road beach access. MISSION: Get up as much as possible of the Sky Aquarium soaring above the beach. ABOUT: The Sky Aquarium is a collection of ocean-, sea-, and water-themed kites, early 50 incredible pieces. VOLUNTEER CALL: To make this happen, assistance is needed to get everything into the sky, then bringing it all back the earth safely. The first 10 volunteers to reach out will receive a commemorative Field Crew T-shirt. SPECTATING: If flying kites isn’t your thing, just come and enjoy the show.
