Events

Join Pierce County and the Pierce County Kite Fliers for a fun day of showing off your kites and flying skills, kids and adults activities (like Running of the Bols, candy drop, free kids kites, handcrafted show-off, People's Choice...).  This year (2026) it will be only a single day event. You do need to purchase a parking pass in advance, but if you're a flyer or helping out at the festival, we'll send you a free pass. Watch the "Pierce County Kitefliers Association" Facebook page.

Join the Washington Kitefliers Association for their annual membership meeting, dinner, raffle and auction. Long Beach Grange Hall at 5715 Sandridge Rd. 8/21 Doors open at 5:00pm Dinner is 6:00-ish $15 ticket, Presales on the beach! Any remaining sold at the door. MUST HAVE A TICKET TO ENTER! Your hand will be stamped for re-entry. Gotta stay in line with the fire code. ;)
